Mandala Greeting Cards
The classical mandalas in ancient Sanskrit mean “circle.” A traditional mandala is a square containing a circle, and the entire design is symmetrical and balanced.
Our interpretation of the mandala is based on the classical circle with the decorative floral and organic elements maintaining the basic rhythm, with repeats bringing joy and mindfulness with a meditative quality while coloring in. A sure way to relieve stress and anxiety.
The circular nature of a wheel works as our artistic representation of a perfect reality or universe. It also represents a perfect day, a wish, or a blessing for us.
We enjoy the process of brainstorming, gaining clarity on the look and appearance of the coloring cards, then to the proverbial drawing boards – or in this case the tablets.
Researching and filtering all references to create an original freshly designed work of art.
The most important stage is when the cards are presented to you to enjoy the process of coloring them in, making them your work of art through the use of colors. In doing so, you complete the circle of the process together with us, resulting in a unique colored card created with that special person in mind.
Coloring mandalas are fun. It awakens your inner child, the repetitive designs relax the mind of the endless chatter and increase the release of feel-good hormones.
Take time off and relax. “It’s all about finding peace in the symmetry of the design and the universe,” says artist Saudamini Madra.
Trust the process and remember…art makes its own rules.
